Tattersall check

Tattersall checks are an overcheck pattern in two colors, usually on a white oc other colored ground. An example is a pattern of brown lines going in one direction, crossed by green lines in the opposite direction, forming the checks on a yellow background. These checks were named for Richard Tattersall who used the pattern on horse blankets. See overcheck.
